# Tokenized Stock Pairs

Tokenized stocks are planned as a future pairing category on Hello.Fun.

The idea is to allow creators to launch tokens against supported tokenized stocks, creating markets that connect new token launches with tokenized equity assets.

This expands the concept of pairing beyond ETH and $HELLO.

### Launching Against a Tokenized Stock

When tokenized stock pairing becomes available, a creator will be able to choose a supported tokenized stock as the pairing asset for a new launch.

```mermaid
    A["Create Token"] --> B["Choose Pair"]
    B --> C["Supported Tokenized Stock"]
    C --> D["Launch"]
    D --> E["New Pair Market"]
```

The selected tokenized stock would become the other side of the new token's market.

### Through the Launch Lifecycle

The pairing asset is designed to remain connected to the launch from its starting market through graduation.

```mermaid
    A["New Token + Tokenized Stock"] --> B["Bonding Curve"]
    B --> C["Pair Reserves"]
    C --> D["Graduation"]
    D --> E["Uniswap v4 Pair Market"]
```

The same supported tokenized stock used during the bonding curve would remain the pairing asset of the graduated market.

### What the Pair Changes

Choosing a tokenized stock pair changes the asset around which the new token's market operates.

The pairing asset would be used for:

1. Buying the launched token
2. Receiving value when selling
3. Building reserves during the bonding curve
4. Establishing the graduated liquidity market

The token launch lifecycle remains familiar.

The market it is built around changes.

### Pair Specific Economics

Different pairing assets can require different market configurations.

Hello.Fun's pairing system is designed to support pair specific economics, including phantom liquidity and graduation conditions.

```mermaid
    A["Supported Tokenized Stock"] --> B["Pair Configuration"]
    B --> C["Phantom Liquidity"]
    B --> D["Graduation Conditions"]
    C --> E["Launch Market"]
    D --> E
```

This allows a supported tokenized stock pair to be configured for its own market rather than assuming every pair should behave exactly like ETH.

### Supported Assets Only

Tokenized stock pairing will use supported assets selected and configured for Hello.Fun.

Creators will not be able to enter any arbitrary token address and use it as a pair.

```mermaid
flowchart LR
    A["Tokenized Stock"] --> B["Approved and Configured"]
    B --> C["Supported Pair"]
    C --> D["Available for Launches"]
```

This curated model applies across the broader Hello.Fun pairing system.

### New Utility for Existing Assets

Pairing can create a new role for an existing tokenized asset.

Instead of the asset only existing within its own market, it can also become the pairing asset for new Hello.Fun launches.

```mermaid
flowchart TD
    A["Supported Tokenized Stock"] --> B["Launch A"]
    A --> C["Launch B"]
    A --> D["Launch C"]
    B --> E["New Pair Market"]
    C --> F["New Pair Market"]
    D --> G["New Pair Market"]
```

Every supported launch can create another market involving that pairing asset.

### Where Stocks Meet New Markets

Tokenized stock pairing is part of the broader Hello.Fun vision of making pair choice a defining part of a launch.

A creator is not limited to choosing the token.

The creator can also choose the market around it from the supported pair options available on Hello.Fun.

```mermaid
flowchart TD
    A["Creator"] --> B["Creates Token"]
    A --> C["Chooses Market"]
    C --> D["Supported Tokenized Stock Pair"]
    B --> E["Launch"]
    D --> E
```

### Current Status

Tokenized stock pairing is planned and is not currently available within the deployed Hello.Fun launch system.

ETH is currently the live pairing asset.

The specific tokenized stocks available for pairing will depend on the assets supported and configured when this category is introduced.

### Expanding What a Pair Can Be

Hello.Fun is designed around the idea that the asset beside a new token can be part of its identity, market and community.

Tokenized stock pairs extend that idea into a new category of onchain assets.

**New token. Supported stock pair. New market.**

This is one part of the longer term Hello.Fun vision:

**Where stocks meet memes.**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://hello-fun-1.gitbook.io/hello.fun-docs/whats-next/tokenized-stock-pairs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
